Our Purpose

 

As a chapter of the national Audubon Society, our purpose is to conduct education, science, and charitable activities to conserve and restore natural ecosystems, focusing on birds, other wildlife, and their habitats.

Lights Out Harrisburg starts on August 15th and runs through November 15th

Print out the following flyers and post them everywhere to spread the word and save as many birds as possible (and reduce electricity usage and cost at the same time). Additional info here.

You can pick up your Coffee Orders at Birds and Coffee Events at Wildwood Park's Olewine Nature Center between 10 AM - 11 AM on the second Saturday of each month .

FALCON WATCH

Every year Peregrine Falcon’s nest on the top of the Rachel Carson building in Harrisburg. Volunteers help watch and rescue any birds that fledge to ensure their safety.
